Today, more than ever, the world is in need of prayer and meditation. It is in need of prayer because people have forgotten God, and without God the world has put itself on the edge of a cliff. This is why Our Lady insists so much on prayer in her messages. The world is also in need of meditation because if the great Christian truths are forgotten, souls become void. This void is seized by the enemy, and he fills it with lies – we see the results with widespread belief in superstition and occultism/new age.
This is why the Rosary is such a power tool for our salvation and our battle against evil.
The word “Rosary” in Latin is “rosarium” meaning “crown of roses” or “garland of roses”. It is said that with every Hail Mary you are putting another rose into our Lady’s crown.
While praying the Rosary we meditate on the great mysteries of the life of Christ and/or the prayers that we are reciting. (If you are not familiar with praying the rosary click here to learn more).
The Blessed Virgin Mary gave the rosary to St. Dominic in 1214 and promised to him and to all who follow that “Whatever you ask in the Rosary will be granted.” She left for all Christians 15 Promises to those who recite the Holy Rosary.
Some of the promises are:
- I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
- The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
- The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

As with any prayer we must “recite the Rosary with faith, with humility, with confidence, and with perseverance.” – St. Louis de Montfort
Here are some powerful quotes that I hope will also inspire you to take up praying the rosary daily:
“Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.” – St. Louis de Montfort
“You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.” – Our Lady to Blessed Alan de la Roche
“When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer.” – St. Louis de Montfort
“The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families…that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.” – Sister Lucia dos Santos, Fatima seer
“Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.”– The Devil during an exorcism
