In the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, we tend to forget about God and everything that He has to show, teach and tell us. We move through life juggling fifty different million tasks, ideas, conversations, and so much more. Right from the morning, when we open our phones we see notifications from messages unread, to the meetings we have that day, the unfinished assignment and the busy day ahead of us. We run through our day right into the night, and then we tend to lie in our beds scrolling through news feeds, emails, YouTube or whatever else.

Does this sound familiar??

I admit that I have fallen into this pattern numerous times. And if this sounds anything like you, then you also have to slow down and spend time with God.

I recently had this thought about our relationships with God. Imagine for a moment, that you are in a relationship with someone whom you love deeply. You cherish them, you want the best for them, and you try and do wonderful things throughout the day to make their lives a little better. Now, imagine if that person never thanked you throughout the day, never responded to you, and said, “hi I love you.” And at the end of the day, you were right there beside them waiting for them and instead they sit on their phones ignoring you.

I think often times we forget how much God want us to love Him back. He does so much for us, and we go throughout the day without giving Him much thought.

My dear read, what I want you to do today, is spend some time with God. Just you and Him!

Mediate on the bible, He has so much to tell you! With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, open your bible and reflect on a verse that really sticks out to you.  He wants to tell you something; you just have to be open to it!

Slow your life down, and take any opportunity you have to be in the presence of the Lord.
